"The Blimp" 6-color Linocut Reduction
Inspired by the Chinese Spy Balloon incident and a Library of Congress image snapped during a US Army training between 1918 and 1921.
12×18” six-color linoprint reduction on 135lb/298gsm acid-free paper.
5 prints made.
Reduction linoprints are rendered by affixing a registration to the press, printing an initial ink run of the linoblock , then carving away more of the block, printing a subsequent color layer, carving away more, printing again, and so forth. There is no going back to print more copies — the block has already been carved away. Reduction print-runs are true limited editions.
